Nashville, Tenn. (October 12, 2012) - 5-time GRAMMY® Award winner TobyMac's career continues to explode following his No. 1 debut on the Billboard Top 200 chart last month. The 11-million plus selling artist recently received his second American Music Award nomination for the Favorite Artist, Contemporary/Inspirational, category.
The 40th Anniversary American Music Awards will broadcast live from the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE on November 18th at 8/7c on ABC. For the sixth year, fans will determine the winners by online voting at www.AMA.ABC.com.
Set to headline the Winter Jam West Coast Tour, TobyMac recently kicked off his own "EYE ON IT" tour with sold out shows. The tour also features GMA New Artists of the Year, Jamie Grace (2012) and Chris August (2011). Post Winter Jam, he will headline his "HITS DEEP" tour. Joining him to perform some of their hit songs in an exciting night of music are Chris August, Jamie Grace, Group1Crew, Brandon Heath, Mandisa and Britt Nicole. Additionally, his music has been heard in major motion pictures such as Hancock, Transporter 2, while also being featured on Fox Sports, The NFL Network, being selected as the theme song for Fox College Football and WWE's Fatal 4-Way Pay-Per-View. "Showstopper," from the chart-topping album Tonight, was featured in ESPN's ESPY Award Show and used to launch the last season of CBS hit television show CSI: NY.
